Emakina CEO joins ING’s hackathon SYTYCC jury
The second edition of ING’s SYTYCC, a 48 hour-long feast of coding madness, is approaching at high speed. The event will be held March 28-29th at the ING offices in Etterbeek, Brussels.
Sorry rug rats, too late if you’re only now thinking of registering, SYTYCC 2015 is already sold out.
Still, you can follow the creative wizards and developers in their adventures down the coding rabbit hole, on #Hackaton #SYTYCC, and on the ‘So You Think You Can Code’ blog.
As was the case last year, Emakina’s CEO Brice Le Blévennec, self-proclaimed Geek (and proud of it) will be an enthusiastic jury member for the coding event of Emakina’s client ING.
Brice has a word of advice to the teams: “To win the Hackathon, your idea needs to be simple. The idea needs to be realistic, but innovative. And it needs to be actionable today. Good timing changes everything …”
More in general, Emakina’s CEO praises the idea of hackathons:
“I love to see so many driven and talented people give it their best. And of course, for Emakina it’s a great opportunity to spot talent on the rise. We are always on the lookout for clever programmers, top graphic and interface designers, project managers and creative all-rounders. These hack-fests really challenge talented young people, it’s great fun and it leads to great new developments!”
In 2014, twelve truly excellent teams united to design ‘the bank of tomorrow’. Great spirit, sparkling ideas, good humor, top teamwork (with not much sleep) and in the end the LockIt team (Kristof, Kimberly, Jens and Sander from Thomas More) taking home the big prize, a trip to Silicon Valley.
To get in the mood, here’s the 2014 SYTYCC after movie:
